6.96

贊曰：此天神來儀。有靈聞香，理應尋至，況諸威德聞已不來。色界諸天雖無鼻識，聖根互用，聞香亦來。應依定聞，故皆來至。

Commentary: This is the celestial deities arriving. When spirits smell the fragrance, it stands to reason that they would trace it and arrive, let alone those of great majesty and virtue failing to come upon smelling it. Although devas of the form realm lack the olfactory consciousness, holy faculties function interchangeably, so smelling the fragrance they also came. They must have perceived it through meditative absorption, and thus all arrived.
