If one sees these ten dharma gates, whether identical or distinct, they are also a single dharma gate, forming the marks of all dharma gates. If their identical and distinct marks are clearly evident, then a hundred dharmas, a thousand dharmas, ten thousand dharmas, and those as numerous as sands of the Ganges and particles of dust are also like this. The Avataṃsaka says, "One dharma gate has immeasurable dharma gates as its retinue"; the blending of the incense pill in the Śūraṅgama, the wrapped jewel in the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā, the sprouting from the single ground in the Lotus Sūtra, and bathing in the great ocean in the Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra are all of this meaning.
