1.26

料簡三身者，若取樹王下佛為真身，神通變化猿猴鹿馬為應身，不明三身者，此小乘析法意爾。若取即事而真為真身，化用為應身，不明三身者，此體法中意爾。

In differentiating the three bodies: if one takes the Buddha beneath the tree-king as the true body, and the supernatural transformations into monkeys, deer, and horses as the response body, without clarifying the three bodies, this is merely the purport of the Hīnayāna analysis of dharmas. If one takes the identity of phenomena with the true as the true body, and the functional manifestations as the response body, without clarifying the three bodies, this is merely the purport within the embodiment of dharmas.
