初、科。此文正示所破惡罪。而言敘空品者，今舉所破罪，彰能破用。諸能破中，空用為要，故當敘也。問前句已明能破之法，今那復有能破之方？答：前境智行是能治藥，今明三業專聞思修是服藥法。妙藥不服、服不依方，病何能愈？此二相成，三障可破。

First, the division. This text properly displays the evil transgressions that are destroyed. As for speaking of stating the chapter on emptiness, here it raises the transgressions that are destroyed to display the function of that which is capable of destroying. Among all that are capable of destroying, the function of emptiness is paramount, and so it should be stated. Question: The previous phrase has already clarified the dharma capable of destroying; how can there again be a method capable of destroying? Answer: The previous realm, wisdom, and practice are the medicine capable of curing; now, clarifying the three karmas exclusively devoted to hearing, contemplation, and cultivation is the method of taking medicine. If wondrous medicine is not taken, or taken not according to the method, how could the illness be healed? These two complement each other, and the three obstacles can be broken.
