二、「行」下，誡行者問邪師。《禮記》曰「龜謂之卜，蓍謂之筮。卜筮者，所以決嫌疑、定猶豫也。」今云折篾，篾謂竹篾，謂揲蓍取卦，折竹篾為文也。管公明者，槐人也，名輅，字公明。善卜筮，所向皆驗。應知惡報由罪，結罪由心。苟正于心，罪報自蕩；不修內德，卜筮何為？吳氏《春秋》云「宋景公時，熒惑在心。公召子韋問焉。子韋曰：『禍當君。雖然，可移於宰相。』公曰：『宰相所以與理國家。』『可移於民。』公曰：『民死，寡人將誰言君？』『可移於歲。』公曰：『歲飢，民餓死。為民后而殺其民，誰以我為君乎？』子韋曰：『君有至德之言三，天必祐君，熒惑必三徙舍。舍行七里，一里當一年，君延年二十一矣。』熒惑果徙三舍。」況能內觀法性達罪本空，均生佛於自心、起慈悲於法界，惡星之變何慮乎不滅耶？故於次文明其方法。

Second, from "Practitioners" below, he admonishes practitioners against consulting heterodox teachers. The *Liji* states: "The tortoise shell is called divination (*bu*); the yarrow stalks are called sorting (*shi*). Divination and sorting are used to resolve suspicions and settle doubts." Here, mentioning "splitting bamboo slips", "slips" refers to bamboo slips, meaning sorting yarrow stalks to obtain hexagrams and splitting bamboo slips to form graphs. Guan Gongming was a man of Pingyuan; his personal name was Lu, and his courtesy name was Gongming. He was skilled in divination and sorting, and everything he addressed was verified. One should know that evil retribution arises from offenses, and the formation of offenses originates from the mind. If one rectifies one's mind, the retribution of offenses will naturally be washed away; if one does not cultivate internal virtue, what use are divination and sorting? Master Wu's *Chunqiu* states: "In the time of Duke Jing of Song, Mars was in the Heart constellation. The Duke summoned Ziwei and asked him about it. Ziwei said: 'The disaster falls upon the ruler. Even so, it can be shifted to the prime minister.' The Duke said: 'The prime minister is the one with whom I govern the state.' 'It can be shifted to the common people.' The Duke said: 'If the people die, whom will I, the ruler, govern?' 'It can be shifted to the year's harvest.' The Duke said: 'If the year's harvest fails, the people will starve to death. Being the sovereign of the people and killing his people, who would regard me as ruler?' Ziwei said: 'You, my lord, have uttered three statements of supreme virtue. Heaven will surely bless you, and Mars will surely shift its station three times. Each station spans seven leagues; one league corresponds to one year, so your life will be prolonged by twenty-one years.' Mars indeed shifted three stations." How much more so if one can inwardly contemplate the Dharma-nature, realize that offenses are fundamentally empty, view sentient beings and Buddhas as equal in one's own mind, and arouse compassion throughout the Dharma realm—why worry that the calamities of inauspicious stars will not be extinguished? Therefore, the subsequent text clarifies its method.
