初、據今文示法。寂滅華音，涅槃梵語。涅槃之名召三德體，故知寂滅是三德成。

First, he presents the Dharma based on the present text. "Quiescent extinction" is the Chinese phonetic translation, and "nirvāṇa" is the Sanskrit term. The name nirvāṇa calls forth the essence of the three virtues; therefore, we know that quiescent extinction is accomplished through the three virtues.
