初、約財法釋。《大經》云「諸供養中法供養最為第一」，財供養則有窮盡，法供養者則無窮盡。

First, explaining in terms of material goods and Dharma. The Great Sūtra says, "Among all offerings, the offering of the Dharma is foremost." Offerings of material goods have an end, whereas offerings of the Dharma have no end.
