初、明二逆。了順逆修，即逆順性。性非差別，故名一相。故仙豫事殺、果佛理殺，以即性故，皆長壽因。仙豫緣，如前釋五戒中。

First, clarifying the two reversals. Understanding that both conformable and reverse cultivation are simply reverse and conformable nature: the nature is without distinctions, and is therefore called 'the single characteristic'. Thus, the phenomenal killing by Xianyu and the principled killing by the fruit Buddha, because they are identical with the nature, are both causes of long life. The episode of Xianyu is as explained above under the five precepts.
