初、牒示誡勸。斖，尾音。斐斖者，文藐。意謂止可以經十段文彩，準擬評議倣似之耳，不可備具論其行相，故云不可責其備悉。

First, reiterating and presenting admonition and exhortation. *Wei* has the sound of *wei*. *Feiwei* means that the writing is subtle and refined. The meaning is that one can only rely on the ten sections of literary elegance in the sūtra to estimate, assess, and simulate them; one cannot fully discuss their aspects of practice; hence it is said that one cannot demand that they be completely exhaustive.
