二、「此經」下，明眾與諸經同。此中集天龍，與《華嚴》何異？此品新本既云「無量婆羅門眾」，又〈懺悔品〉信相出城，與無量無邊百千眾生俱往靈鷲，豈皆鬼神？驗知集眾與諸經同。

Second, from 'This sūtra...' onward, clarifying that the assembly is identical with other sūtras. Here the gathering of devas and nāgas—how does it differ from the Avataṃsaka Sūtra? Since the new translation of this chapter says 'an immeasurable assembly of brāhmaṇas', and furthermore in the 'Chapter on Repentance' Ruciraketu exits the city and goes to Gṛdhrakūṭa together with immeasurable, boundless hundreds of thousands of sentient beings, how could they all be ghosts and spirits? This proves that the gathering of the assembly is identical with other sūtras.
