初、略示。上辦處中雖語能觀，意乃以觀顯所依處。今說能觀，意乃以處顯能觀觀。法不孤立故須相帶，解之不濫方可用心。

First, brief indication. Although the contemplation that observes was discussed above in clarifying the place, the intention was to reveal the relying place through contemplation. Now, in explaining the contemplation that observes, the intention is to reveal the contemplation that observes through the place. Phenomena do not stand alone, so they must be mutually correlated; only when understanding them without confusion can one apply the mind.
