二、「珍寶」下，修因。脚足者，疏存二解：初、以十地為果脚足；二、以十度為十地脚足。言十度者，六外更加方便、願、力、智也。「於餘」下，釋出十度，為地足意。《華嚴．十地品》廣明其相。

Second, from 'precious gems' onward, cultivating the cause. Regarding 'feet', the Commentary preserves two interpretations: first, taking the ten grounds as the feet for the fruit; second, taking the ten perfections as the feet for the ten grounds. Regarding the ten perfections, beyond the six [perfections], expedient means, vow, power, and knowledge are added. From 'in the remaining' onward, explaining the ten perfections as the meaning of feet for the grounds. The 'Chapter on the Ten Grounds' in the Avataṃsaka Sūtra explains their characteristics extensively.
