初、與世間樂果。經「鼓吹」，《古今注》云「短簫也」。經「優鉢羅」，此云黛色，即青蓮華也。常於三時者，晝三時也。

First, bestowing mundane enjoyable retributions. The sūtra says "guchui" (drumming and piping); the Gujin Zhu says "it is a short xiao flute." The sūtra says "utpala," translated here as indigo-colored, which is the blue lotus. "Always in the three periods" refers to the three periods of the daytime.
