二、「舊云」下，明今意破古，二：初、破僻取文，二：初、出古解。古秖齊文，不知四佛巧示之意。

Second, from 'Formerly it was said' downward, clarifying the present intention to refute the ancients has two parts: first, refuting the biased grasping of the text, which has two parts: first, presenting the ancient interpretation. The ancients merely equaled the text, not knowing the intention behind the four Buddhas' clever indication.
