二、「二云」下，敘次師，二：初、敘；二、「次乃」下，章安破。以今不云師及天台，知是私破。空雖是中，乃是因位用中破執，且非果上所顯中體。法雖不異，用顯義殊；古既昧此，故今不用。

Second, from "The second says" onward, relating the next master, in two parts: first, recounting; second, from "Next then" onward, Zhang'an refutes it. Because [the text] does not say "the Master" or "Tiantai," we know this is a private refutation [by Zhang'an]. Although emptiness is the middle, this is employing the middle in the causal stage to break attachments, and not yet the substance of the middle revealed at the fruitional stage. Although the Dharma is not different, the meaning of function and revelation is distinct; since the ancients were benighted about this, it is not adopted here.
