4.136

初、敘小。《俱舍》云「極微、微、金、木、兔、羊、牛、隙塵」等，小乘有門謂極微。始有十方分，故不破隣虛，以此為因緣也。

First, recounting the Hīnayāna. The Kośa says: "Paramāṇu, aṇu, [motes of] gold, wood, rabbit, sheep, cow, [motes in] sunbeam-openings," and so forth. The existence gate of the Hīnayāna asserts that the paramāṇu first possesses parts of the ten directions, and therefore does not break down the mote adjacent to voidness (paramāṇu-saṃgha), taking this as causes and conditions.
