四、釋悉滅無餘。比必利切，及也。見人死滅四大分散，便謂息風煖氣已歸於上、骨肉血汗必歸於下。及至推尋都無去處，以本不來故。若有來去，非今教境。

Fourth, explaining "all cease without remainder." Bǐ has the phonetic reading bì-lì; it means "to reach" (jí). Seeing that when a person dies the four great elements disperse, one then says that the wind of breath and the warm vapor have already returned above, and the bones, flesh, blood, and sweat must return below. But when one investigates them, there is no place to which they go, because fundamentally they never came. If there were coming and going, it would not be the object of the present teaching.
