二、約通大答。佛說諦緣，通被大小二乘菩薩，通四教故。如世大道，群小同遊，不定屬小。

Second, answering in terms of penetrating the great: The Buddha expounded the truths and conditioned arising to reach both the Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna, and both [kinds of] bodhisattvas, because they penetrate the four teachings. Just as on a great public road of the world, all petty people travel together, it does not exclusively belong to the petty.
