4.250

初、《毘曇》。我見是共等因者，即共業、別業合有四句，略言共等。此有門論陰中求我，我空、陰有，我法兩分，故我見思惟前後而起。我即眾生、思是實法，故悟生空，未得法空。

First, the Abhidharma. "The view of self is a shared, equal cause": that is, shared karma and individual karma together have four propositions, and he concisely terms them "shared, equal [causes]." This treatise of the door of existence seeks the self within the aggregates; the self is empty and the aggregates exist, so self and dharmas are divided into two. Thus, the view of self and [afflictive] ideation arise successively. The self is the sentient being, and ideation is the real dharma; thus one awakens to the emptiness of persons but has not yet attained the emptiness of dharmas.
