二、「本自」下，明非觀使爾。世間之相本來常住，豈以觀智息乎生滅，然後不生滅耶？此名即事而理，亦曰即邊而中也。

Second, from "Originally..." onward, explaining that it is not contemplation that causes it to be so: the characteristics of the world are originally eternally abiding; how could it be that through the wisdom of contemplation one puts an end to arising and perishing, and only then is there no arising and perishing? This is termed "principle being identical to phenomena," and is also called "the middle being identical to the extremes."
