First, citing the text and showing the meaning. Regarding 'Although again...', and so forth: since one activates the four universal [vows] relying on the four truths, and the four truths are permanent, how could the vows ever cease? The person in the causal stage seeks Buddhahood with an intent focused on benefiting sentient beings; now having fulfilled what was sought, how could one forget giving [happiness] and removing [suffering]? From 'The four universal vows are' downward, showing that the vows have a basis. The vows are unconditioned loving-kindness and compassion; their objective realm is the uncreated four truths. What are the practices and marks of the unconditioned and uncreated? Sentient beings I vow to deliver, because saṃsāra is precisely nirvāṇa. Afflictions I vow to sever, because afflictions are precisely bodhi. Dharma gates I vow to learn, because delusions themselves become wisdom. The Buddha path I vow to accomplish, because arising is precisely cessation. Were it not so, how could one broadly deliver and eternally deliver?
