初、總立意。以此經是方等後分故，信相聞佛入滅唯三月在，所以懷疑，故指《般若》名為已說。

First, generally establishing the intent. Because this sūtra is the latter portion of the vaipulya, Ruciraketu, hearing that only three months remained before the Buddha's parinirvāṇa, harbored doubts; therefore, he points to the Prajñāpāramitā as having already been spoken.
