三、釋眾生根鈍，二：初、定廣略利鈍，二：初、約聞持立。宜廣為利，宜略為鈍。

Third, he explains the dull faculties of sentient beings, in two parts: first, determining extensive/brief and sharp/dull, in two parts: first, establishing it in terms of retaining what is heard: what is suitable for the extensive is sharp; what is suitable for the brief is dull.
