二、勸供給四眾因緣。經「優婆塞」，此云近事男。優婆夷，此云近事女。以成就戒者，堪可親近承事出家二眾故也。流衍者，衍，達也。

Second, exhorting the causes and conditions of providing for the fourfold assembly. In the sūtra, "upāsaka" is translated here as "approaching-serving male." "Upāsikā" is translated here as "approaching-serving female." This is because, having perfected the precepts, they are able to approach and serve the two monastic assemblies. Regarding "to spread widely": "yan" means to reach.
