二、觀行釋。三種觀法，此當託事，以其境智一一皆借事義而立也。須知託事多兼法相，如王舍城而觀五陰、耆闍崛山而表三德，此之五三何殊四諦？然此正是託感應事明境觀也。分二：

Second, explanation based on the practice of contemplation. Among the three types of contemplative methods, this corresponds to relying on phenomena, because the objects and wisdom are each established by borrowing phenomenal meanings. One must understand that relying on phenomena mostly involves doctrinal characteristics: as with contemplating the five skandhas in Rājagṛha, or representing the three virtues with Gṛdhrakūṭa Mountain, how are these five and three different from the four truths? Yet this is precisely relying on the events of sympathetic resonance to illuminate the object and contemplation. It divides into two:
