初、敘說教因由。在文可見。新經云「欲利益諸眾生故，常行法施，乃至令得大果證常樂故。」

First, recounting the reasons for expounding the teaching. This can be seen in the text. The new translation of the sūtra says: "Desiring to benefit all sentient beings, he constantly practices the gift of Dharma, up to causing them to attain the great fruition and realize constant bliss."
