6.60

初、分文事釋，二：初、分文。二、釋義，二：初、病輕，聞說即差；二、經「善女」下，病重，服藥方除。此品事醫，意含法藥。除病不一，非可卒陳。次示觀心，略申其意。其文在即，故注云云。

First, dividing the text to explain phenomenal matters, which has two parts: first, dividing the text; second, explaining the meaning, which has two parts: first, when the illness is light, it is cured immediately upon hearing the explanation; second, in the sūtra from "good daughter" downward, when the illness is heavy, it is eliminated only after taking medicine. The phenomenal medicine in this chapter implicitly contains the medicine of the Dharma. The cures for illnesses are manifold and cannot be stated all at once. Next, showing the contemplation of the mind briefly expresses this intent. The text is close at hand, so the note says 'etc.'
