Those who practiced the sūtra in the past: King Suvarṇaprabhāsa praised the Buddha and made vows, thereby practicing the sūtra; the ten thousand dried fish heard the Dharma and were perfumed and cultivated, thereby practicing the sūtra; these served as causes.
