Second, from "This is..." onward: a general explanation of body, lifespan, and measure. As for the earlier statement of "neither non-existent nor...", if based on the subsequent text, the meaning corresponds to double negation. Because the substance of this dharma is free from the two extremes and transcends reward and response, one forcefully establishes the three names—body, lifespan, and measure—upon this principle, in order to make sentient beings forget their [deluded] attachments.
