First, clarifying the characteristics of the harmonious identity of the three virtues. Being identical with withered and identical with flourishing, identical with neither withered nor flourishing, cultivated in a single instant, instant after instant the perfect mindfulness never ceases; passing through the five grades, manifesting semblance and realizing the real, when the stage of fruition is reached, the three delusions are entirely purified. The five skandhas of the hundred realms are free and unimpeded, called the five liberations. The five skandhas of the hundred realms are pure as space, called the five prajñās. The five skandhas of the hundred realms are ultimate and inconceivable, called the five Dharmakāyas. Wisdom merges with the five skandhas; the principle is that with which it merges, hence it is called 'principle.' Although their substance is one, it is divided without being divided. Prajñā is that which can merge, and the Dharmakāya is that with which it merges; because they mutually merge, they give rise to the function of liberation. From 'Although three' downward clarifies the meaning of the secret storehouse, as is commonly explained.
