Third, from "from hearing" downward, the suitable listeners attain the Way. Those of superior capacity who first awaken correspond to the sense of the three cycles in the new sūtra. Ājñātakauṇḍinya seeking relics represents those of middling capacity; the distinction of the three bodies represents those of inferior capacity. Anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi is translated as unsurpassed proper and equal enlightenment; this is the inherently enlightened nature of all sentient beings, not something called "unsurpassed" and "properly equal" only upon ascending to the ultimate fruit. The arising of this enlightened mind extends through five [of the six identities]; here, it is the identity in partial truth.
