贊曰：深殖善因德。即《法華經》等云「於諸佛所殖眾德本」。即於佛所修十供養，名為淨因。所求菩提、所修十供養，二種俱因，或淨之因、或因即淨。

Commentary: The virtue of deeply planting wholesome causes. That is as the Lotus Sūtra and other texts state: 'Planting roots of virtue in the presence of all buddhas.' Cultivating the ten offerings in the presence of buddhas is called 'pure causes'. The bodhi sought and the ten offerings cultivated are both causes; either causes for purity, or the causes themselves are pure.
