Commentary: The virtue of unshared cognitive objects. When the two vehicles cognize objects, perceptual forms (ākāra) can be apprehended. Bodhisattvas are not like this. Therefore, Asabhāva's Mahāyānasaṃgraha-bhāṣya, fascicle eight, states: 'Non-conceptual wisdom functions in conformity with the object of tathatā.' The intention is that tathatā is free of all signs, and wisdom matching tathatā is likewise without perceptual form. Furthermore, they understand both kinds of emptiness, whereas the former only understand one; hence they transcend the two vehicles.
