贊曰：以大智定光而自莊嚴，名大莊嚴光。以《金光明最勝王經》而利於物，名大金光莊嚴。簡自利他，故名為大。自嚴嚴他對。

Commentary: Adorning oneself with the light of great wisdom and samādhi is called 'Great Adornment Light'. Benefiting beings by means of the Suvarṇaprabhāsottamasūtra is called 'Great Golden Light Adornment'. To distinguish benefiting oneself and benefiting others, they are called 'Great'. [This is] a pairing of adorning oneself and adorning others.
