贊曰：此三三學因，各得圓備。據實齊修，從本願說。大福大智對。戒福慧智，定通二種。或從於智，能發智故。

Commentary: In these three, the causes of the three trainings each attain full completeness. In actuality they are cultivated together, but are spoken of in terms of their fundamental vows. [This is] a pairing of great merit and great wisdom: precepts are merit, wisdom is wisdom, and samādhi connects to both; or it belongs to wisdom, because it can produce wisdom.
