贊曰：鳥王眾：此云妙翅，下隨舊譯亦云金翅。力勢如香象，或有勢力能怖香象。或可鳥象類別，即香象王。

Commentary: The assembly of bird kings: [Garuḍa] is here translated as 'wondrous wings'; below, following the old translation, it is also called 'golden wings'. Its force and power are like a fragrant elephant, or it possesses power capable of frightening a fragrant elephant. Alternatively, birds and elephants are different classes, so [it means] the king among fragrant elephants.
