According to the six compound analyses (ṣaṭsamāsa): in this *Suvarṇaprabhāsottamarājasūtra*, either the light of dharma is like the golden light, or the supremacy of dharma is like the title of a king; 'Golden Light Most Victorious King' are both appositional compounds (karmadhāraya). It is not intended to explain 'Golden Light' and 'Most Victorious King' separately, so it is not a coordinative compound (dvandva). It is not intended to denote [an external possessor of] golden light, so it is not a possessive compound (bahuvrīhi). 'Golden Light Most Victorious King' is the principle that is expressed (abhiadheya), and 'sūtra' is the teaching that expresses it (abhidhāna), which is a determinative compound (tatpuruṣa). If both are teaching, 'Golden Light' is the sūtra itself, which is a karmadhāraya compound. If both are principle, it is likewise. Among them there are further distinctions in many categories, which are not set forth here for fear of prolixity.
