經　時彼｀侍者各詣釋迦牟尼佛所，頂禮雙足，却住一面，俱白佛言：「彼天人師致問無量：少病少惱，起居輕利，安樂行不？復作是言：『善哉善哉！釋迦牟尼如來今可演說《金光明經》甚深法要，為欲利益一切眾生，除去饑饉＇令得安樂。』」

Sūtra: Then those attendants each went to the place of Śākyamuni Buddha, bowed down at both his feet, withdrew to stand to one side, and together addressed the Buddha, saying: "Those Teachers of Gods and Humans convey immeasurable greetings: 'Are you free from illness and distress, light and sprightly in your daily activities, and proceeding in comfort?' They further said: 'Excellent, excellent! May the Tathāgata Śākyamuni now expound the profound essential Dharma of the Suvarṇaprabhāsa Sūtra in order to benefit all sentient beings, dispel famine, and cause them to attain peace and joy.'"
