贊曰：四、陳如答求舍利。冀欲顯常，希求舍利。初文分為三：初陳如答願、次假設外徵、後答願所以。初也。

Commentary: Fourth, Kauṇḍinya answers that he seeks a relic. Hoping to reveal the permanent, he seeks a relic. The opening passage is divided into three: first, Kauṇḍinya states his wish; next, he posits an external challenge; finally, he answers with the reason for the wish. This is the first.
