贊曰：喜見別示福門、即為顯常因。長行答詮、頌中答理。長行有其三：一令聽此經、二明其所以、三者結略。此即初也。

Commentary: Priyadarśana specifically points out the gate of merit, which is in order to reveal the cause of permanence. The prose answers regarding the expressive teaching, and the verses answer regarding the principle. The prose has three parts: first, enjoining him to listen to this sūtra; second, explaining the reason; third, concluding in brief. This is the first.
