Commentary: The third concludes with the permanence of the Buddha's body. That which is the basis of virtues and their accumulation is called the dharmakāya. Because it applies commonly to the three bodies, both the nature of awakening and the marks of awakening are called true awakening. Because it is the cause of all phenomena and the support of all phenomena, it is called the dharmadhātu. That "this is the true body" has two meanings: first, in contrast to the relics, all three bodies are true; second, looking toward what is manifested through transformation, the responsive and transformed [bodies] are not true. Since the body is like this, what the Buddha speaks is also thus, because what is revealed through realization and what is taught are both identical.
