贊曰：下釋第一不住二邊行，有三：初明證生死涅槃平等；次「不處流轉」下，明不住二邊；後「於諸有情」下，明不捨有情。若二乘人見生死過失、見涅槃寂靜，便有厭捨，入於涅槃。

The commentary says: The explanation below of the first practice of not abiding in the two extremes has three parts: first, clarifying the realization of the equality of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa; next, from 'does not abide in cyclic existence' downward, clarifying non-abiding in the two extremes; finally, from 'toward sentient beings' downward, clarifying not abandoning sentient beings. If it were persons of the two vehicles, seeing the faults of saṃsāra and seeing the tranquility of nirvāṇa, they would have aversion and abandonment, and enter into nirvāṇa.
