贊曰：恒度有情行。初觀空、後觀有。即空方便，發起有行。此初也。同《般若經》「而無有情得滅度者」。

The commentary says: This is the conduct of constantly delivering sentient beings. First, contemplating emptiness; later, contemplating existence. That is, using emptiness as skillful means, one initiates the conduct of existence. This is the first part. It is the same as the Prajñā[-pāramitā]-sūtra's 'yet not a single sentient being has attained extinction and deliverance.'
