〈如來壽量品〉，略以三門分別：一來意、二釋名、三解難。言來意者，略且有五：一令生正解、二令得菩提、三令得涅槃、四令起妙行、五為機感。

‘Chapter on the Lifespan of the Tathāgata’ is briefly distinguished via three sections: 1. Purpose of occurrence; 2. Explanation of the title; 3. Resolving difficulties. Regarding the purpose of occurrence, there are briefly five: 1. To give rise to correct understanding; 2. To cause attainment of bodhi; 3. To cause attainment of nirvāṇa; 4. To give rise to wondrous practice; 5. In response to the capacities [of beings].
