贊曰：明應化身有之所以合成無異。無異，即合法身無分別相。言於二種身者，是應化二身。或佛所現、菩薩所現，名二種身。雖現異相，於法身地無有差別分別異相。

Commentary: Clarifying the reason why the response and transformation bodies exist, conjoining them to be without distinction. "Without distinction" corresponds to the mark of non-discrimination of the dharmakāya. Saying "in the two kinds of bodies" refers to the two bodies of response and transformation. Alternatively, what is manifested by the Buddha and what is manifested by bodhisattvas are called the two kinds of bodies. Although distinct marks are manifested, at the stage of the dharmakāya there are no differentiated, conceptually discriminated distinct marks.
