贊曰：離苦。雖離苦時翻彼得樂，且說離苦。此離九苦，準文可知。準《瑜伽論》，諸佛如來俱生威力，能令有情見得是益。若身不具，謂闕手足、黃門、二形等，此等惡果報因可知。然《智度論》第八及業報差別等，皆悉廣說。

Commentary: Leaving suffering. Although when leaving suffering they conversely obtain joy, it provisionally speaks of leaving suffering. This leaves nine sufferings, which can be known from the text. According to the *Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra*, the innate mighty power of all the tathāgata buddhas can cause sentient beings who see it to attain these benefits. "If any had incomplete bodies" refers to lacking hands and feet, being a paṇḍaka, being of dual sex, and the like; the causes of such bad retributions can be known. Moreover, the eighth fascicle of the *Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa*, the *Karmavibhaṅga*, and so forth all explain this extensively.
