2.53

贊曰：第三、彼佛為答，有三：初略舉難思、次集眾為釋、後結成因果勸勿生疑頌後三頌。是此初也，有二：初餘不能測、後唯佛能知。初中有三：一止非、二却結、三為釋。

Commentary: Third, the buddhas' reply, which has three parts: first, briefly citing its inconceivability; next, gathering the assembly to explain it; later, concluding with cause and effect to urge not giving rise to doubt in the final three verses. This is the first part, which has two: first, others cannot fathom it; later, only a buddha can know it. In the first part there are three: 1. stopping the wrong [speculation], 2. an interrogative transition, 3. providing the explanation.
