四、令起妙行者，下文云「於佛世尊所說經教，速當受持、讀誦通利、為人解說，不生謗毀。」是故如來現斯短壽即令起行，故此品生。

Fourth, regarding giving rise to wondrous practice: the text below states: ‘Regarding the scriptures and teachings expounded by the Buddha, the World-Honoured One, you should quickly uphold them, read and recite them fluently, explain them to others, and not give rise to slander.’ Therefore, the Tathāgata manifests this short lifespan to immediately induce practice; hence this chapter arises.
