贊曰：為燒練，喻不退地心、一生補處心、金剛心。得淨金，喻如來地心士用果。
Commentary: Smelting illustrates the mind of the stage of non-retrogression (avaivartika), the mind of one bound to one more birth (ekajātipratibaddha), and the vajra-like mind. Obtaining pure gold illustrates the result of human effort (puruṣakāraphala) in the mind of the Tathāgata stage.
