贊曰：下十四頌明懺悔。分三：初一頌標、次十二頌辨、後一頌結。此初標也。罪者，毀責過失之名。極重惡業亦毀責過失語，設輕小罪亦名極重作罪惡業。通論三業悉懺云皆。

The Commentary says: The fourteen stanzas below explain repentance. Divided into three: the first stanza introduces; the next twelve stanzas discriminate; the final stanza concludes. This is the first, the introduction. 'Transgressions' (zuì) is a name for blameworthy faults. 'Extremely grave evil karmas' is also an expression for blameworthy faults; even if they were light and minor sins, they are also named 'extremely grave committed sinful evil karmas'. Speaking comprehensively of repenting all three karmas, it says 'all'.
